Somerset

Somerset offers stunning spacious landscapes and an untouched nature, picturesquely situated wildflower meadows, sandy beaches and beautifully photogenic high coasts. It is one of the UK’s biggest counties and is located in the South-West of the country. Somerset’s historical background is very interesting: In the caves of Mendip Hills you can find settlement traces which date back to the Stone Age. The cities and villages of Somerset are home for lots of famous sights – many of them were built more than 2000 years ago and offer wonderful photo motifs now. Due to being located near the Gulf Stream and Bristol Channel, Somerset’s temperatures always remain mild. Perfect weather conditions for exploring breathtaking natural landscapes with your camera or sketchbook!
