This painting holiday is based in the studio at Ty Cefn Tregib in a picturesque and inspiring setting in a peaceful corner of the Brecon Beacons National Park, near Llandeilo in beautiful West Wales.
Your tutor, Janis Fry has a lifetime’s experience of teaching Art. She is an encouraging and inspiring tutor. Able to paint and draw in any media, she is a master of mixed media whose own work is loose and expressive but also well calculated..
It is said that whatever you fix your attention on, grows.
This is a chance for in depth study where the focus is on a collection of interesting objects, the way they relate and the way light falls on them, bringing them to life and showing us things and effects, we normally miss in busy daily life.
We will get to grips with the magical possibilities that come from deep study, seeing what lies beneath the surface, seeing what it can become, responding and using intense colour and letting it fly! The more you see the more you see!
We will work in both watercolour and acrylic.
