Pleasure of Art, Nature and Tradition

20.06.2020 - 26.06.2020 Rhodopes | Andriana Marinova sculpture, arts & crafts, textile, macramé 1400 EUR

Pleasure of art, nature and tradition. Each of you will create a unique piece of art that will be the result of your artistic abilities - skills, aesthetics and fantasy. We will work on the theme "Mystic Bird", the whole stay will be wrapped in mysticism, because the place where we will be is magical.

I will introduce you to the old „macramé” textile technique that will sound in a new and modern way. We will combine it with a metal mesh and turn it into a little plastic. All this will happen at Villa AdiArt - Rhodopes, created by myself and my wonderful family in the border village of Gorna Arda, Bulgaria. You will enjoy the unique author's interiors in vintage style. We will conduct daily guided tours, enter a cave, climb a Medieval fortress and discover the magic of touching the nature. The choice of this period of time is not accidental, we will experience a very special day together. Eniovden (Midsummer's Day) is the holiday that marks the summer solstice. It is celebrated on 23 versus 24 June. The Eniovden ritual begins the previous night. At sunset, the young girls gather flowers for the wreaths in complete silence. At 5:30 a.m. in the meadows in the village of Gorna Arda, the people meet the sunrise - the moment is very special, very magical and one cannot tell it, one just has to come here and feel it. The magical Eniovden ritual is recreated by girls and women dressed in white. According to tradition, on this day herbs are the most healing. There should be 77 herbs in the wreath.
