Grahame will be covering watercolour in this course. His courses consist of working outside capturing people and places as well as well as studio work including still life and painting from sketches.
Olhao is a small fishing town on the Algarve, Portugal. The workshop is organised by Art in the Algarve and our base is the beautifully restored art school. With vaulted ceilings, Roman brick work, three courtyards and an olive tree believed to be over 150 years old, it will be hard to leave the studio! Living accommodation is in and around the school, and all bedrooms are traditionally and tastefully furnished. All rooms have en-suite facilities. There are also two private swimming pools with plenty of space to relax. All meals are included and some lunches and evening meals are taken in the local restaurants. Wine / soft drinks with your evening meal are complimentary. Olhao is very compact with great subjects only a few minutes on foot from the school. Subjects include the ancient churches, narrow alley ways, fishing boats, local markets and the nearby nature reserve. We visit one of the offshore islands for a day, with a grilled fish lunch in a beach side restaurant and on another day we visit one of the outlying towns such as Fusetaor Tavira.
