You might have heard of the “People’s Choice Award”, an American awards show, recognizing people in entertainment, voted online by the general public and fans. The show has been held annually since 1975 and is, to this day, of huge significance for people in entertainment. There are categories such as “Movies”, “TV”, “Music” and “Pop Culture” that all award the voters’ “favourite” of each category. So people can vote for their favourite movie of the year, favourite female or male actor of the year, favourite song of the year… and so on. You get the picture. This award is, as mentioned, of huge significance in the world of the public life.

But not only is there such an award in America. It might be the most popular, but other countries too award their favourite public people. And in Britain, there are, next to the aforementioned categories, some to satisfy your artsy side, such as “Best Leisure Painter” or “The Artist”. Wouldn’t it sound spectacular to be awarded with the People’s Choice Award for “Best Artist of the Year”? Well. Happy to announce that this year’s winner of this category is nobody else but our lovely tutor Jo Pickering! This is, by the way, not her first and only award – but the latest.

Jo is someone who enjoys painting to the fullest, and everyone can tell. “Painting makes me happy!” and you can feel her enthusiasm and happiness with every brushstroke. And this happiness is one of the contagious kind. Not only award-winning, but charming as well! Interested in being taught by her now? Reasonable.
