Exhibiton: The Society of Fulham Artists and Potters

The Fulham Society of Artists is a nonprofit organization that promotes the work of local artists and draws the public's attention to their artworks. The organization, founded in 1952, is open to anyone who is at least 18 years old and works or studies in the district of Hammersmith and Fulham or the neighboring districts. Their current name, "The Society of Fulham Artists and Potters" (SoFAP), came about when the Fulham Society merged with a pottery group.

Develop, refresh, practice, exhibit and sell - a supportive and enthusiastic community that creates an opportunity for artists to promote their work. They participate in various markets and hold workshops. Each year, two large exhibitions are organized by a committee and volunteer members.

For six days, the next major exhibition at the Fulham Library will feature a wide selection of works by member artists. On the evening before the exhibition, there will be a private insight for all exhibitors to invite friends, potential buyers and the press. Hazel Soan, one of our tutors, is a guest speaker at the event along with many other famous art patrons.

Since the SoFAP is a member of "Own Art", there is the nice opportunity when buying a piece of art to get an interest-free loan provided. For further information, please contact the Community Chair, Patricia Watson.
