Cotswolds

The Cotswolds are especially known for being a very typical English region: There are picturesque green hills covered with huge sheep flocks, lovely old castles and photogenic manors. In charming little villages you can visit typical quaint pubs and historical churches. There are beautiful gardens which offer great motifs for paintings or photos. The Cotswolds are referred to as Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – quite rightly because their natural landscape is fascinating. Capture the beauty of the region’s grassy landscape and yellow limestone with your camera or sketchbook. You can also visit the honey-colored Castle Combe: It is world-famous since it was a setting in the well-known TV show „Downtown Abbey“.
