Northumberland

Northumberland is the northernmost county of England and is located at the Scottish border. It is known for its gorgeous and very photogenic coastal landscapes, a fascinating historical background and its breathtaking National Park. Visitors enjoy silence and repose while being surrounded by picture-perfect natural landscapes. There are lots of old castles which were built multiple centuries ago. One of them, Alnwick Castle, even served as a setting for the Harry Potter movies! Now it is a perfect motif for stunning photos. Due to its proximity to Scotland, many war-like conflicts between English and Scottish people took place in Northumberland in the past. Nowadays, the county owns a rich cultural and historical heritage.
