Hiddensee

Hiddensee is a small German island in the Baltic Sea right on the coast of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Germany´s biggest island Rügen. It might seem like a long stripe of land but it is dotted with settlements and beautiful natural features. Back in history, it was owned by many different rulers over which led to Hiddensee being almost completely treeless but its strong bond to the church saved the isle because they bought it and recultivated it. The landscape goes from sandy beaches to small hills and cliffs and even some canyons which make it really unique and interesting for every artist.
