Würzburg

Würzburg is an episcopal town and a college city at the same time. Prince-archbishops coined the past of the city, the university is coining its present. Vibrant student life takes place between the palatial relics of the past: the residence of the prince-archbishop (which belongs to the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage now), one of the oldest stone bridges of the world („Marienburg“) and an innumerable amount of church steeples. The local people are home-loving and like to culitvate their traditions. They are famous for their great hospitality and sociality. You can check this fact at one of the many wine festivals in autumn. Try the Franconian lifestyle and enjoy the hearty specialties of the local kitchen in a quaint wine bar.
