With beautiful Lakeland scenery surrounding Higham Hall there is much to inspire the artist, particularly with all the superb glorious Summer colours in this beautiful unspoilt part of the Northern lakes surrounding Higham Hall. Venturing outdoors (weather permitting) to be amongst the Lakeland landscape, we will paint and sketch the stunning lakeside views and mountains from iconic and dramatic view points not far from Higham Hall. This will include the dramatic Honister Pass and Buttermere Lake with all the stunning colours carpeting the mountain sides - so inspirational whatever media we take!
With relaxed and friendly (yet structured) mixed media painting days at Higham Hall and on location, you will learn lots of new and exciting art techniques throughout your expressive painting art holiday. You will see the landscape in a new light, greater depth and meaning and create great art in doing so - I guarantee it!
The media planned to be used is watercolour, gouache, pastel and acrylic inks in different combinations but you my wish to bring your own media to learn more art skills in use. Whatever you feel you'd like further tuition with (not oils though please) to fit within the remit of the art course, please do. There are plenty of one to one sessions throughout the week to benefit from together with the main teaching sessions using specific media.
Sorry, but this art holiday is not suitable for pure beginners as the art techniques taught may be too advanced
