Following the successes of several great art holidays with 'HF Holidays' another two exciting creative art holidays have been created for you for 2019 - one in Malhamdale, The Yorkshire Dales and one at Derwent Bank on the shores of Derwentwater in The Lake District. Both explore the immediate countryside by working directly out of doors in inspirational landscape settings. You will be staying in beautiful top class Country Houses in both locations, all with wonderful scenery to be inspired by with exciting outdoor painting days taking you to beautiful painting locations by minibus (weather permitting). Painting days in the studio on your first day on each holiday will help you to quickly get used to the media and art techniques you'll be doing outdoors for the rest of your week. Our 2019 art break with HF Holidys staying at Newfiled Hall - a grand 19th century country house set in extensive grounds with magnificent views of the Yorkshire Dales, is 'Expressive Pastel Painting' with soft and hard pastels with some charcoal drawing (optional) for those who want to use that too.
You will learn how to create bold, colourful and dramatic pastel paintings and charcoal drawings outdoors and in the studio at Newfiled Hall and throughout the week your expressive pastel paintings will be filled with wonderful impressions of the immediate area around Newfiled Hall - to include the magnificent Malham Cove and gordale Scar which are just a short minibus ride away.
At Newfield Hall There are two lounges, a bar, dining room and heated swimming pool...as well as our exclusive 'art den' for your great painting experiences in this lovely spacious and historic hall. Fantastic!
Painting directly outdoors during your exciting art week in wonderful scenic locations at Gordale Scar and Malham Cove, you will quickly become more confident as artists learning skills for outdoor painting learning how to really look.
Suitable for improvers and artists who wish to become more expressive when developing their own personal style and develop great drawing skills too.
