Alison Cotton is an experienced and inspiring watercolour tutor, who spent five years as resident painter at the Alderney Pottery in the Channel Islands. Here she became enthralled with the wild rocky coast, and sought to capture these elemental scenes with watercolour. She has gone on to run painting holidays in Alderney and teach watercolours in Sussex, as well as working as an inclusive artist with two Brighton charities.
In Kalymnos this October we will focus on capturing the glorious scenery with a small, portable kit that can be taken anywhere. Alison will share her tips to give you extra confidence with colour mixing and mark-making when painting sea and sky in particular. She aims to help everyone develop their own creative voice, whatever their level of experience
