Jenny Aitken is an award-winning painter known for her depiction of light on the sea. Working in acrylics and oils, her style has evolved throughout her 20 year career, and subject matter broadened to include any subject with inspiring light. She aims for impressionistic vibrance, atmosphere and movement in her work.As a seasoned tutor, her passion for painting is well known, as is her encouraging and informative teaching style. She runs courses, demos and painting workshops around the country, and is a guest writer for The Artist magazine.

Charlie Evans was born a long time ago in Yorkshire where he grew up as a country lad. During an early career in catering, he discovered a love of painting and was commissioned by the National Coal Board to paint pictures for their boardrooms. As soon as he could, Charlie went to Lincoln Art College but it was hard to make a living, in those days, as an artist. A career in the RAF meant that he could develop his catering expertise while representing his regiment in 3-day eventing and motorcycle racing.  Leaving the RAF and relocating to Northumberland gave Charlie the impetus to develop a career in art, painting and teaching. Appearing regularly for Tyne Tees TV regional programmes, painting out on location, gave him plenty of practice in working under all conditions. Today, Charlie lives in Northumberland & travels the country, & abroad, taking his no-nonsense approach to painting, to hundreds of artists.

Marilyn Allis Overall winner of the SAA’s Artist of the year in 1999 was the beginning of Marilyns art career. She shortly afterwards had a painting accepted in the RI exhibition in the Mall Galleries. She appeared on Chanel 4’s Watercolour challenge, more recently apearing as the guest artist in Fraser & Friends, a splash of colour and SAA live workshops. She has written 3 books People are scary (really), Animals on the Loose & Painting Dorset in Watercolour. She regulary writes articles for the Paint magazine. Her extensive travels around the world teaching on cruise ships inspire her which she brings to her workshops & demonstrations. She is a loose impressionistic painter capturing light & movement in her work.

This is a very unique painting break. Each day you will take part in the workshop  with a different tutor learning from their experience and talk through tuition and watching their demonstrations. You will go away with a whole wealth of experience and pampered stay in Bournemouths luxury Marsham Court Hotel.
