Two of the most amazing UNESCO cities in Eastern Europe. Our 7-Day Budapest and Prague Photo Adventure was designed to combine the very best of these two amazing and not-to-be-missed cities. Budapest is the capital and largest city in Hungary. Budapest became a single city, occupying both banks of the River Danube, with the unification in 1873, of Buda and Obuda, on the west bank, and with Pest, on the east bank. Considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, Budapest has extensive UNESCO World Heritage sites. They include the banks of the Danube, the Buda Castle District, Andrassy Avenue, Heroes Square and the Millennium Underground Railway, the third-oldest metro line in the world. Budapest is famous for its 80 geothermal springs, the world’s largest thermal cave system, the second largest synagogue and the third largest Parliament building.
Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic, which used to be joined with Slovakia until the two separated into distinct sovereign states in 1993. The Old Town square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with its ancient buildings and magnificent churches, is one of the most beautiful historical sights in Europe. The square dates back to the 12th century and started life as the central marketplace in Prague. Today it is full of houses and churches built in centuries past in different architectural styles - Romanesque, Baroque, and Gothic creations all tell a different story. The most notable sights: Old Town Hall Tower and the Astronomical Clock, Tyn Church and St. Nickolas Church. We will also photograph the Jan Hus statue. For a stunning view over the square, we will climb the Old Town Hall Tower.
This adventure is designed not only to guide you to the most photogenic locations carefully planned for the best light, but to aid you in mentally visualizing a scene before capturing the decisive moment. Our aim is to raise your awareness and spark your creativity so that you not only go home with images to be proud of, but use your new found skills to improve and expand your photographic technique in general. Apart from the technical aspect of learning your camera settings and capabilities, you will learn how to turn an ordinary image into an extraordinary image by using your own creativity.
In addition, you will become knowledgeable on how to survey the landscape, utilize and approach your environment, photograph people indigenous to the region and the cultural considerations and challenges of photographing in a foreign country. Our time together will include individual and group discussions, inspiring ideas and great fun. We cannot think of a better location to express your creativity than the breathtaking cities of Budapest, Vienna and Prague, as well as the surrounding countryside.
