Your accommodation is located in the Artist House in Anna, Valencia. It is a terraced and canal house in the old and traditional village of Anna, Valencia, offering a double bedroom and an additional private living room with a television and a private refrigerator. The first floor also features an extra sofa bed, providing a courtyard and pool view, along with an en-suite bathroom.
With a convenient 40-minute distance to Valencia and situated just a few kilometers from the city of Xátiva, Anna Valencia offers a wide range of attractions, especially for nature and hiking enthusiasts.
Anna is a charming village in the province of Valencia, where water plays a central role. Its fountains, gorges, waterfalls, and small lake showcase the significance of this element throughout its history. Additionally, the historic center preserves remnants of the Arab era, notably seen in the Palace of the Counts of Cervellón, also known as the little Alhambra.
The route of the three waterfalls is a must-see attraction in Anna, and, of course, our Mosaic Basic Workshop "Trencadis" in the courtyard of the town canal House Fiestadelarte and the Artist Studio Broeschen.
What this course offers:
In this 10-hour Abstract Painting Workshop, you will learn the fundamental techniques of Collage Free Painting Stage Design on canvas. Textiles and fashion materials will be fixed on the canvas with glue. Materials such as textiles, scraps of clothing, bonding agent, acrylic paint, and ink will be utilized in my unique technique to bring collage and painting together on the canvas in this free painting art course. The textile material will be stuck on a canvas of approximately 50x80cm. Acrylic colors will then be painted on the canvas and textiles and spread out using a spatula. The short drying time for the collage allows you to break away from norms and regulations. Abstract figures will become visible to both the external and internal eye, and a form of communication will take shape. The object will then be slowly encircled on the canvas using a base color. With shades of color and their harmony, you will learn to transform abstract shapes into figures and faces. Your imagination takes the foreground, and the stuck-together textiles form their own movement. The utilization of acrylic colors reworks and estranges the initial impression of the painting, turning the object into a story. The objects on the canvas will then be connected using a line technique. We will guide you through thoughts, expressions, and your individual vision.
Prices include accommodation with half board, workshop, excursions, and airport shuttle to Valencia or Alicante.
Day 1: Arrival day and village walk in Anna.
Day 2: 5-hour mosaic workshop in the artist's studio and pool area terrace.
Day 3: Beach time in Playa Mareny Valencia from 09:30 am to 01:30 pm, with shuttle transfer through the rice fields.
Day 4: Visit the little Alhambra of Anna and the 5-hour mosaic workshop in the afternoon.
Day 5: 5-hour sightseeing tour of Valencia with cultural activities, transfers, and beach.
Day 6: Hiking Tour of 3km in Anna, "The Route of the Three Waterfalls," in the morning, followed by paella lunchtime.
Day 7: Departure and packing of your mosaic paella pan for your travels.
Info about half board: Daily from 12:00 pm until 03:00 pm.
Our Kitchen Boss (Señora Mercedes from Cocinart) cooks fresh meals daily (from Tuesday to Sunday) in Anna, offering a wide selection of menus, including appetizers, main dishes, and desserts.
Monday is Salad Day in the Artist Studio after the Beach.
Breakfast will consist of a baguette or croissant with coffee or tea and local fruits.
