Neal Winfield
Neal graduated from the Stourbridge College of Art where he studied a degree in Glass Design and Art History. At Stourbridge, whilst exploring a wide range of glass working processes, he fell in love with the art of making stained glass, leaded lights.
Along with telling a story, Neal adores the intensity of colour and need of bold shapes that make it such a joy with which to work.
After graduating he moved to Cilfynydd in South Wales, where he established a studio, undertaking many domestic and secular commissions and taking part in exhibitions and shows.
Among Neal’s projects, were the restoration of the old Victorian windows in Dyffryn Country House and the Muni in Pontypridd.
His restoration skills were also called upon for some lost and broken panes at a number of churches in and around Cardiff. He also worked for some of South Wales’ breweries, restoring old windows and creating new windows for pubs and bars around the area.
