Tomas Watson

Tomas Watson (b.1971) is a British artist who has lived and worked in Greece since 1994. He studied at the Slade School of Art in London.
In 1998, he won the BP Portrait Award and was subsequently commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery to paint the author John Fowles. This portrait is in their permanent collection.

He regularly participates in international art fairs and has personal exhibitions every 2 years in London. His painting courses on the Sigri Arts Retreat in Lesvos, Greece, include portraits from life, landscape en plein air, and still lifes. The media will be oil on canvas and charcoal on paper. He will also teach a joint portrait painting / creative writing workshop with author Efrosini Kamatsou.
